SPONSOR A MINI LIBRARY

India’s front line health care staff continue to face great anxiety, depression and burnout, during the ongoing pandemic. To help address these issues, the Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust invites you to join a noble cause, “The RNCT Mini-Library” – an initiative to look after the mental health of our front-line health care providers.

What is the RNCT Mini-Library?

While hospitals typically have their own library, their collection of books are all from the genre of medical science. The RNCT Mini-Library aims to provide 150-200 novels, in the genre of fiction and non-fiction, to every hospital in the nation. To provide easy daily access to stress relief for our front-line health care providers.

How can a RNCT Mini-Library help reduce stress?

Doctors face immense stress as they treat patients and try to reassure relatives. They have shared that reading between back to back shifts, helps them to calm their frayed nerves.

Nurses are on beck and call, day and night. They often break down in tears, as they are overwhelmed by waves of new patients that often require intensive care and monitoring. They have shared that reading for even a few minutes, helps them to compose themselves and return to their duties.

Other front-line medical professionals such as anesthetists, radiologists, lab technicians, resident interns and others, put their lives at risk daily as they perform their duties. They too are only human and have families and worry about contracting the virus and taking it home to them. They have shared that reading, on their breaks, helps them to reduce & manage this daily fear.

SPONSOR A MINI LIBRARY

How can my philanthropy help reach thousands of health care professionals?

Each RNCT Mini-Library costs US$ 80. This includes the cost of the wood to construct this portable library. Populate it with the generous donation of fiction & non-fiction books. Then transport and install it on location at hospitals around the nation. Every patriotic contribution towards this noble cause, will allow us to reach yet one more hospital and thereby many more hospital staff & even patients, who are all under great stress.

How can I contribute towards this noble cause?

You may choose to donate US$ 40 towards the construction and installation of a RNCT Mini-Library. With every contribution, we will work towards meeting our goal of reaching as many hospitals and hospital staff across the nation.

You may choose to donate US$ 80 to gift an entire RNCT Mini-Library to a hospital. For this noble gesture, we would like to acknowledge you and your family, by adding your family name next to The Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust. “Donated by the <Your Family Name, City>”, would forever brighten the hearts of all doctors, nurses, interns and other medical staff. Each time they reach out to pick up a book to better manage their anxiety, depression or fears, they will remember which patriotic Indian family joined the cause to look after their mental health.

You may choose to donate US$ 800 towards the construction and installation of 10 RNCT Mini-Libraries. With every contribution of this scale, we can reach many more hospitals and also donate mini-libraries with invaluable educational books to colleges & schools, to uplift underserved college students & underprivileged school children.

RNCT Mini-Library Initiative for Colleges & Schools

Along with the noble cause of looking after India’s health care providers, Ratna Nidhi Charitable will be extending the RNCT Mini-Library initiative to also support underserved college students & underprivileged children.

By providing access to invaluable educational, self-learning & motivational books to colleges and inspirational, light fiction & non-fiction reading materials & novels to schools, Ratna Nidhi hopes to inspire college students, school children and even adults, with a zeal for reading and learning, by offering them the unique advantage of frequent and easy access to physical books.

As each Mini-Library can also be refreshed with new books as per the college & school’s feedback, this initiative can deliver the holistic benefits of an updated in-house library to all colleges & schools, that do not already have a library on their premises.
